Hey Y'all! My name is Tracie Johnson Merritt. I started this blog because of my deep passion to create beautiful art out of tired pieces and my journey through the middle part of life. Hence the name for my brand, Refurbish in the Middle. My sweet husband is right by my side through this journey of picking, salvaging, and breathing new life into things most people might think are past their prime.

As I share my experiences with you, you will find that there's always something going on in my studio! My husband (the Bossman, lovingly) and I have 4 girls and 1 grandson. We also enjoy our sweet decker terrier Riley who keeps a watchful eye over the studio.
