I must say that this piece evokes a feeling of "marvelous & wondrous" all wrapped into one. I get lost in the moment just gazing at all the shades of blues and greens. I have been wanting to try this paint for awhile. I really enjoyed painting with it yesterday. It's very different from what I typically use. It's an artisan clay & chalk finish base paint. I love how with each layer, the color evolves. And then adding the wax is just the icing on the cake. I have been like a kid in the candy shop, really!
Here is what I used:
- DIY Paint from Debi's design diary. Hello Sailor, Fancy Farm Girl.
- Applied Fancy Farm Girl for my base.
- Then Hello Sailor.
- Did a wet distress also.
- I let some of the wood come through as well as Fancy Farm Girl.
- Lathered it with the DIY wax, just because I love that thick waxy look & how rich the wax makes the colors!

So amazing and delightful,
I'm so pleased with how this piece turned out!
