Lying on a bed of roses...

My daughter bought a small mess of tables to work on but as you know she is growing my grandson! She only has about 30 days left until he joins us and we are up to our elbows in BABY!!! So she passed some along to me to finish. This is what I have done with one of those little beauties. This is what I have done. Kudzu is one of the colors from the Dixie Belle line that I decided to use for this. I put a coat of Dropcloth color on the top and I had these beautiful rose napkins from Caspari. This is what I applied to the top with polycrylic. I love this stuff! A lot of painters use it and they have it in their paint lines, often referred to Top Coat or Clear Coat. What they don't tell you is that you can't use polyurethane on chalk paint and milk paint because it will yellow the color and interfere with the finish. Polycrylic holds the color true and remains a perfect finish. The point of me telling you this information is this: **Always remember if you use a water based paint you need a water based top coat!**
