Peaches' Stool Part 1 of 2

This stool was given to us years ago from my mother-in-law, Peaches. I used it as a plant stand, but when Sophie came into our life... I sent it to the attic. I didn’t want to worry about her climbing on it and getting hurt.  Just recently, I brought it out of hiding and decided it needed a new update. Every time I look over at the stool it puts a smile on my face. It brings back memories of a beautiful woman, my loving mother-in-law, "Peaches."  *A YouTube tutorial video is included in the project post below. 

Here is what I used for part 1 of this 2 part playlist:

  • Lightly sanded with a fine grit sanding block then washed with White Lightning cleaner by Dixie Belle.
  • The base coat is French Millenery from DIY. I also added DIY Farm Girl Fresh in random spots. I finished up with Marquee by DIY (I just love that red color!!).
